This is a large natural unpolished piece of Calcite.  The blue and vibrant earthy reds you see are natural.  Measuring over 2 inches in areas and 3/4 wide, this crystal weighs 50 grams and fits really nicely in the hand.  There are smooth sections and rougher areas, mixed with nooks and crannies that really give this gemstone a glorious feel.  The blues are simply incredible! Mixed with lighter and darker areas, you can even see through tiny parts of your crystal. 
 
Calcite is a softer crystal, so taking care to gently place it down if you are putting it on a hard surface is important.
