Welcome to Wicked Stones

I'm Vikki ~ Artist and Crystal Worker

Where did this all start: My grandfather gave me my first crystal back when I was about 9 years old and it was the beginning of a journey for me. Perhaps giving this stone to me was a way to keep his granddaughter distracted while he shopped, but it began a life long passion for me. In case you are curious, it was a slab of Mexican Crazy Lace Agate and I still have it.

Over the Years

A lot of you have gotten to know me over the years as that quirky girl with the sunburn and crushed cowboy hat. That girl, with the slanted and somewhat sideways sense of humour. And yes, rumour has it that I've actually been spotted trading crystals for coffee at vending events - yes it's true! Some of you are probably reading this and chuckling as you are wearing one of my pieces that you got for coffee from me in trade. Especially when trapped at an outdoor event with no hope on escaping to get one!

My journey with Wicked Stones began back in the late 1990's with a single coil of copper wire and a few of my favourite crystals. I dabbled for a while and once my horde pile became too big, I decided to start selling at local craft shows across the north. Mixed with my desire to rock hunt in Ontario and travel, we started doing shows in many locations across Ontario.

Eventually we morphed into a Wholesale supply shop and our healing crystals journeyed across Canada, the United States and overseas. What an adventure! Classes and teaching came next and we hosted workshops for jewelry making and crystal work. All the work done on our website is done right here in our art studio. From photography to the website creation, we are real humans behind your screen taking part of every step of the process. Which means we are human, so you will discover some "oops" now and then on our site :). Since the onset of Covid, we've decided to put a halt to our vending and workshops and are focused on creating.

My style is simple. The crystal is the star of the show

I love simple designs. My focus is on the beauty of the crystal and the healing. Every piece of jewelry I create is made with positive intent and joy. I refuse to touch my crystals unless I have an inner joy and peace. I want you to have the best of good feelings and energy when you receive your crystal.

I've been very fortunate to come into contact with friends who have offered me their old vintage collection of gems and crystals. Many have come from shops that were run decades ago and your stone may be one that has been sitting quietly unseen for a very long time. I also work with a very small number of trusted suppliers that I have gotten to know personally. Now and then you may find stones that have also come from my travels across Ontario where I have personally found them in nature.

Each piece on Wicked Stones that states is hand made, has been crafted with love and passion right here in our shop. One at a time. There is no mass production here. I will, from time to time, offer sterling and pewter pendants as I have clients who are seeking them here in Canada. But it will clearly state that they are not made by me.
