In ancient times, when our ancestors grew in
consciousness, they began to connect with the natural world that was around them.
They began to see it in a much deeper way. They saw in the sky, two
celestial companions - the never changing sun and the powerful moon - the moon that grew
in time to a woman's own cycles.
Over time, legends and myths associated the moon
changed but her connection to the feminine remained strong.
The triple crescent moon symbolizes the 3 aspects of
a woman's life - maiden mother and crone. Or it can represent the 3 fates (the wyrd
sisters) who control one's birth, life and death. The crescents are bound together
by a full moon. The pattern never ends - it circles and embraces all parts of the
whole.
