"I am Hecate, Goddess of ancient Greece, guardian of the unconscious, mistress of the night, the dark side of the triple moon Goddess. I am Hecate, Queen of all, sorceress, seductress, psychic, crone, hag. I ride through the night sky, bathing the landscape in supernatural light. I am Hecate, I command earth, sea, and sky, I control the lunar cycles, I control your menstrual cycles; I am the ultimate feminine."

She comes ready to wear on a 30 inch soft black cord and includes a descriptive booklet.

The Moons of Hecate

This gorgeous double sided pendant is made of striking Excelsior pewter and is so smooth to the touch.

Hecate is associated with the dark side of the moon; but this is the true moon. The moon has no light of it's own, only reflected light from the sun. Like the moon, Hecate is dark. She symbolizes the dark within us, the part of our psyche we refuse to acknowledge. We ignore the wisdom, the strength, and the truth of Hecate, because our fear of the darkness is so strong.

In Western society we value beauty, youth, and money above all else. We hide our elderly, our sick, and our poor so we can pretend to be immune to such human conditions, but Hecate reminds us of the truth.

Hecate sees through the facade of societal amenities. Hecate is not deceived by social standing, education, or titles and wealth. She is impressed only by what is in the heart. She is patroness to those on the outskirts of society. She believes not only in second chances, but thirds and fourths. Her mantle of healing covers the forsaken, when the rest of society turns it's back

A Triple Goddess, Hecate represents many things:  Mind, body and spirit; maiden, mother and crone; birth, life and death; and the 3 stages of the lunar cycle - new, full and dark.  She also rules over childbirth, menstruation and menopause - all the feminine powers!  She enforces feminine independence from masculine influence.
