The natural direction of life is that of the spiral, a
balanced continuous movement winding towards the center and releasing outwards again.
The Spiral was a sacred symbol to all primitive
peoples. It demonstrated the eternal rhythm of life of which we are all a part.
The triple spiral design is unique to the Celtic
people. This ancient design adorning their most sacred places represents the trinity
of life in its many forms, such as body, mind and spirit.
Most significantly it represents the Goddess in her
forms of Maiden, Mother and Old Wise Woman. The single line of the triscele
interfaces with in itself representing the thread of life woven by the three fates in an
eternal spiral symbolizing the eternal path of ones' spirit through the course of life,
death and rebirth.
