From top to bottom, this Cacoxenite gem has the most wonderful qualities to share your life with. The crest of the stone is a dark earthy purple with a strong squared off face that rests overtop of an early gray white section that just shimmers in the sunlight.

Adding to that, are tiny pockets of rich earthy reds that really compliment the shimmering qualities of this gem. You can see from the photograph, that there is also an area you can see right through that has tiny dark freckles and spots.

Both smooth and rough - and solid and transparent...this stone has the best of all worlds.

A bit of a heads up first: Cacoxenite Amethyst has been trademarked by a company called "A Melody" and the name "Sacred Seven" can no longer be used to title this particular gemstone. It is still the same stone but we are unable to use the "trademark" name here. So henceforth, we'll call this gem the Cacoxenite Amethyst.

This is a single gemstone that is actually a fusion of seven minerals together.

They are

· Amethyst – Purple
· Cacoxenite- Golden coloured
· Goethite – Iron bearing oxide mineral
· Lepidocrocite - Red brown coloured mineral
· Clear Quartz – Clear or white
· Rutile – Black or reddish brown or golden yellow
· Smoky Quartz – Golden browns

All of these minerals are present in the stone, even if the piece does not visibly show. It is one of the few stones that retain their energy and clarity and never needs cleansing or energizing.

It is the crystal of Sirius (the bright star in the sky). Sirius is famed in Egypt for its reappearance for 10 days around mid July, which herald the annual flood and ensured the fertility of the lands. Sirius and super seven are also associated with Isis. The back and the front of your gemstone is like having 2 different gems. The front, as you can see from the photo, has several natural surfaces that are smooth and glass like. Underneath this red earth toned purple section are oodles of tiny sparkles that are like beautiful diamonds.

Wow! When I first spotted this Cacoxenite gem I almost squirreled it away in hiding. It is simply stunning! I am not sure if you can really see the beauty in the white areas of this gem.

There are dozens of sparkling fissures inside of this stone that dance in the light with amazing beauty. It shimmers! Adorned across the entire face are so many tiny dark speckles to enlighten your eyes. The dark banding on the side of your gem is majestic with the dashes of earth toned reds.

The front of your stone is actually curved into a "c" shape so that your fingers can slip right into the curve as you wear it. You could spend hours whooshing across this surface.
