Orthocerra fossil jewlery hand made Orthocera Jewelry - Sterling silver wire wrap
Fossil Pendant
300ORT - This fossil measures over 2 1/2 inches long by 1 1/4 inch wide
$38.00

This fossil has remarkable patterns and textures that travel across the smooth surface of the front of your piece.  It's amazing when you think about how ancient this necklace really is.   The lighter areas almost look deep as you can see inside like there are tiny crystals hidden just out of your view.  Very beautiful indeed.

There are 2 very distinct sides to this amazing Orthocera fossil pendant.  The front of this fossil has been brought to a smooth shimmering shine that is simply divine for your fingers to explore.  The back is natural and feels somewhat like a soap stone (it's an interesting texture).  This is an actual fossil of an ancient creature called Orthocera or Orthocerida.  Your fossil comes ready to wear on a black cord (approx. 20 inches in length) with a clasp.  If you'd prefer another length, just let us know when ordering in the options field of your shopping cart.  The wire is used is sterling silver.

An Orthocera is an ancient marine mollusk that had large eyes and a well developed head.  It lived over 450 million years ago in the late Triassic period.  The surface of this fossil is polished and smooth - there is a lot of great detail.

It's shell was long and straight and somewhat curved.  Some feel that these creatures may have been similar to our modern day squid.   Like modern cephalopods, they would have used jet propulsion to move in the water. Most likely they would not have been very agile with their long bulky shells.

This particular fossil is quite large and measures 2 1/2 inches long.  It will arrive to you on a 20 inch black leather cord (or another length - just ask when ordering) with an easy to use clasp.

Good luck - Success - Artistic talents - Survival
400AMF - This fossil measures 1 1/4 inches long by 1 inch wide

Your fingers are just going to fall in love with this incredible Ammonite fossil slice.  This fossil has been sliced so that the back of this creature is natural (unpolished) and the front has a shiny smooth surface.  The colours and patterns are intense and simply stunning when you see it in person.  The inner areas even sparkle when the sunlight hits it! It's truly amazing.

Your fossil comes ready to wear on a black cord (approx. 20 inches in length) with a clasp.  If you'd prefer another length, just let us know when ordering in the options field of your shopping cart.  The wire is used is sterling silver.  An easy to use clasp made of Rhodium (a metal that holds its shine from the platinum family) has been used on your necklace.

Ammonites are an extinct marine animal that are between 208 and 418 million years old. This particular Ammonite was found in Erfoud, Morocco.

Their shells have a beautiful spiral pattern that resembles a set of ram’s horns. Plinius the Elder from Pompeii (in 79AD) called this fossil the "horns of Ammon" because of the Egyptian God Ammon (Amun). This was due to the fact that Amun was depicted wearing rams horns.

Because this fossil is construction in sections it is said to be an excellent good luck charm for those who are artistic at heart or architects. Ammonites are protective and help offer stability in one’s life when structure is required. It helps to propel you out of "survival mode" and into the realms of success.
